Woodwork - "Some Conversation"
1997 (Out of Print)
"Some Conversation" was released by Woodwork in 1997. It is a much more raw recording of Woodwork than "Viewfinder". It also featured Mark Bluethman on drums, preceding Jason McKenzie. This has two of John’s favorite recordings with Woodwork: My Entourage and Somebody House.
Featuring David Lee Hess (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Downey (lead guitar), John Pointer (cello, background vocals), and Mark Bluethman (drums, percussion)
Email David Lee Hess to find out where he and Chris will perform next. They are phenomenal together. Also, visit CD Baby to buy a physical copy of "Viewfinder". They are the only ones who have it any more.

Lyrics: "My Entourage"
(3:20 musical introduction)
When the whiskey is gone
the drinker comes around knocking all morning long
and with the time to dream of the years ahead of him
maybe it don't matter much anymore
and in the rearview mirror
we'r never absolutely certain what's allright
my leaves have fallen
my blood is freezing and I want just one evening with you
My Entourage speaks to me
we're walking hand in hand
and this society freezes
we're getting closer
everyday
and all of my good time friendly people
are pairing down in girl and boy and boy and girl
just an afternoon of some conversation
is worth all of the cigarette money in the world
My Entourage speaks to me
we're getting closer
and this society freezes
we're walking hand in hand
Yeah
(cello and guitar solos)
My Entourage
speak to me
my people
