"Live in the Studio"

1/16/03 (Out of Print)

This was recorded in three hours on January 16th, 2003. It was meant to simply be a souvenir to take away from his first solo show on January 22nd, 2003 at the Saxon Pub in Austin, but as he launched into a performance schedule that would average 250 per year it wound up having to carry him through till 2007 when the first versions of Schizophonic were made available to the audiences at Zach Scott’s Jesus Christ Superstar. LYRICS: Never is a Moment

(by Jimmy LaFave)

(guitar.)

In the vastness of this worl
Baby you are so unique
From your pouty little mouth
To your pretty little feet
From your head down to your toes
You are beautiful divine

There never is a moment that you are not on my mind

(guitar and stomps.)

Though circumstances cast our fate
May be wrong may be right
And though your dreams they're miles away
I try to reach you through this night
If you hear music in the wind
I hope my melody you'll find

There never is a moment that you are not on my mind

MMMmmmmmmm,...
Ooo-hoo-ooo-hooooooo

And in the vastness of this world
Baby you are so unique
From your pouty little mouth
To your pretty little feet
From your head down to your toes
You are beautiful divine

There never is a moment that you
No there never is a moment that you
No there never is a moment that you are not on my mind
My mind
My mind
No there never is a moment that you are not on my mind.

LYRICS: What is a Man

Once in a while I'm coming off love
And once in a while, I'm coming unglued

But what is a what is a what is a man?
Please tell me
Tell me what is a man supposed to do but get through?

Once in a while I'm lost in a crowd
And once in a while I find myself wondering out loud
'bout how your life it seems straightforward
But my path it tends to switch and swerve
And so long before I know it
I'm all lost in someone else's curve

But what is a what is a what is a man?
Please tell me
Tell me what is a man supposed to do but get through?

When the sky is falling around us
Should we run for cover, or stand and fight,
Or within this moment we're given
Should we raise our cups up and catch the night?

Once in a while I know what to do
To get through.
